Love from Biba
Dear Ammar,
I hope you are well, content in your mummy’s arms, finding comfort in your dad’s voice as he carries on with his work meetings while holding you in his lap.
I see you most days through my phone screen all the way from the UK, swaddled up like a little croissant. Sometimes I revisit your first pictures, taken on 13/05/26, the day you entered our lives. Today, you are one week old, mashallah, and I find myself wondering what these first days have been like for you. I wish I could hold you and take in your fragrance. I am overjoyed by your arrival and love watching you thrive from afar.
I got you a few onesies, and every time your mummy puts you in them, I feel like my love wraps around you. It finds a way to you. The warmth of those onesies radiates straight from my heart. It’s the least I can do for you right now.
For your first Eid, Biba got you a little cardigan. I can’t wait to see you in it. For now, I just want you to remember that wherever you are, my love will always find you. No place is far enough for my love to reach you. Right now, it’s in the softness of your swaddles, and as you grow older, I will keep writing to you about how my love will always find its way to you.
Isn’t it interesting how Biba’s love can find you no matter where you are?
Love you, my little croissant 🥐
